Bauhaus-Building Dessau Poster
*The frame is only for illustration purposes and not included.
When I began shaping the Architecture Now series, there was no doubt which building would come first. The Bauhaus-Building in Dessau, completed by Walter Gropius in 1926, is more than just an architectural landmark — it is the physical embodiment of a movement that transformed design, art, and architecture on a global scale.
It may be debated whether the radical modernism born at the Bauhaus always led to beautiful outcomes, but its influence is undeniable: from the glass-and-steel skylines of today’s cities to the clean lines of everyday objects.
This poster reduces Gropius’s vision to pure geometry — the crystalline façade distilled into grids and contrasts, available both in a stark monochrome edition and a vibrant version accented with primary Bauhaus colours. A fitting homage to a school whose impact still resonates nearly a century later.
Celebrates Walter Gropius’s 1926 Bauhaus-Building in Dessau, Germany.
Minimalist reinterpretation in both monochrome and colour-accented editions.
A poster that honours the origins of modernist design.
